Purpose: This is an interactive conference to engage individual educators, schools, and community members. We will be starting the conference with an Ed-Camp format facilitated by Jimmy Casas and then have specific STEM & Arts breakout sessions of today’s best practices in bringing the philosophy and systems to integrate Career and Technical Education (CTE) with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) & Arts for all students. Attendees will be provided opportunity, time, and information on key components in delivering CTE and STEM for all students in their schools.  This will also be an opportunity for elementary educators to strengthen their STEM & Arts abilities for their younger students.

Target Attendees:  Every educator who is responsible in delivering CTE, STEM, and Arts to their students and staff.

Objectives: The intent of this conference format is for attendees to take what is learned back to their programs in every course and grade level in a meaningful way.  We are asking for all presenters to provide in a “make and take” format for attendees to put their learning into action.

  • Strengthen the ability for local school districts to provide skill-based and project-based programs to support economic development in their communities and state.
  • Improve and expand business and industry connections to support local school improvement efforts to provide meaningful career development opportunities for students.
  • Provide an opportunity for participants to network for improved student learning in CTE, STEM, and the Arts.
  • Discover instructional strategies and assessment practices for CTE, STEM, and the related Arts programs.
  • Tools to advocate for improved CTE, STEM, and the Arts programs through expanded leadership, supervision, mentoring, and/or coaching.
  • Understanding of how CTE, STEM, and the Arts align with and support K-12 frameworks and curriculum alignment.
